Sharron Currie Killed, Michael Currie Hurt in Motorcycle Accident on O’Brien Road [Port Angeles, WA]
Wife Killed, Husband Injured in Port Angeles Crash
PORT ANGELES, WA (July 20, 2020) – Police identified Sharron Currie, 63, as the woman who died in a motorcycle crash in the 400 block of O’Brien Road on Monday afternoon.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Bravo Road around 3:20 PM.
Based on a report, first responders found both victims lying in the roadway after their motorcycle crashed with a pickup truck. Initial evidence suggested that the truck driven by a 34-year-old Sequim woman turned left in front of the victims’ motorcycle. Consequently, the motorcycle collided with the truck.
As a result, Sharron Currie died at the scene. Crews airlifted her husband, Michael Currie, to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with severe injuries.
The pickup driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. At this point, alcohol and drugs were not considered a factor in the crash. However, police continue to investigate the case.
We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Sharron Currie during this painful time.
