Arturo Barrio Jr. Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Broadway Boulevard [Tucson, AZ]

Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Broadway Boulevard at Swan Road in Tucson

 
TUCSON, AZ (July 21, 2020) – Police identified Arturo Felipe Barrio Jr. as the victim who got struck and killed by a vehicle on Broadway Boulevard on Tuesday night.
 
According to the Tucson Police Department, the collision happened near Swan Road around 2:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim crossed the street in a crosswalk against the traffic signal. Consequently, an SUV that traveled northbound on Swan struck him.
 
As a result, emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene. They identified the victim as 42-year-old Arturo Felipe Barrio Jr.
 
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police. Per the initial assessment, the driver was not impaired and speed was not a factor in the incident. However, an investigation continues.
