Passenger Dies in El Cajon Motorcycle Accident on Piping Rock Lane

 
EL CAJON, CA (July 21, 2020) — One man died Saturday night following a DUI motorcycle accident on Piping Rock Lane near County Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 9:30 p.m.
 
Reports say that the motorcyclist and his passenger, both of whom were not helmeted, were heading down Piping Rock Lane toward East County Drive.
 
For unknown reasons, the motorcyclist made an unsafe turning movement and crashed into the pavement.
 
As a result of the impact, the passenger flew off the bike as the driver and the motorcycle struck the side of a Ford F-350 pickup parked along the road.
 
Unfortunately, the passenger of the motorcycle, whose identity has not been released, died at a hospital. As for the driver, he sustained unknown injuries in the crash and now faces charges of DUI.
