FRESNO, CA (July 13, 2020) – Paramedics sent Efrain Martinez, 19, to the hospital after a car crash on Highway 99 on early Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Traver.
Based on a report, Efrain Martinez of Fresno was traveling along a frontage road east of Highway 99 before the accident. For an unknown reason, he moved his silver Honda into the northbound lane through a fence and directly into the path of a semi-truck.
As a result, paramedics found him pinned inside his vehicle. In addition, they airlifted the victim to Kaweah Delta Medical Center with major injuries.
Officers say drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash. However, they continue to investigate the crash.
