Driver Dies in Solo-Car Accident on Marilla Street Near Topanga Canyon Boulevard [Chatsworth, CA]

1 Dead, 1 Injured in Single-Car Accident on Marilla Street in Chatsworth

 
CHATSWORTH, CA (July 14, 2020) — A driver died, and a passenger suffered injuries following a solo-car accident on Marilla Street near Topanga Canyon Boulevard.
 
The 8:00 a.m. crash took place in the 21600 block of West Marilla Street.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, for unknown reasons, a driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree.
 
Paramedics arrived shortly after and pronounced the driver deceased on arrival and transported the victim to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
 
Unfortunately, it’s unclear as to what drove the incident, but authorities encourage witnesses with information to come forward.
