EL CAJON, CA (June 25, 2020) – A man in his 50s suffered critical injuries after a pedestrian accident on Avocado Avenue on late Thursday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Washington Avenue shortly before 11:00 PM.
 
A report showed that a vehicle that was heading south on Avocado struck the victim as it passed through the intersection of Washington.
 
Medics took the victim to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where he was listed in critical condition. They said the victim suffered significant injuries to the head and legs.
 
Police do not suspect alcohol nor drugs to be a factor in the incident. However, they ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has more information to call El Cajon Police at (619) 579-3311.
