Pedestrian Dies, Police Arrest Tyraira Joseph in Las Vegas Hit-and-Run on Charleston Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (June 23, 2020) – Police arrested Tyraira Joseph after a hit-and-run on Charleston Boulevard on early Tuesday morning.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the collision happened near Bruce Street at approximately 4:15 AM.
A police report showed that 23-year-old Tyraira La Shun Joseph was traveling north through the parking lot when she failed to pull into a marked parking spot and traveled onto the walkway. As a result, she hit a female pedestrian who was sitting there.
Emergency crews transported the pedestrian to University Medical Center, where she died due to severe injuries.
In addition, Joseph then fled the scene after the incident. Police later located her and took her into custody.
They said Joseph displayed indicators of impairment. As a result, they booked her into the Clark County Detention Center for applicable charges.
