Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Pedestrian Accident near Third Avenue in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 23, 2020) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Grape Street on early Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Third Avenue at approximately 3:20 AM.
Responders from the San Diego Police Department found the victim down in the road. In addition, the involved driver fled the scene. Police described the vehicle as a dark-colored sedan. However, they did not identify the suspect immediately.
Emergency crews took the pedestrian to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Police are still investigating the case. However, they are asking anyone with information about the hit-and-run to call the San Diego Police Department.
