Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Roger Road [Tucson, AZ]
Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted After Deadly Pedestrian Collision at Pomona Road
TUCSON, AZ (June 5, 2020) – Police confirmed that a pedestrian got killed in a hit-and-run on Roger Road on Friday evening.
According to Tucson Police, the collision happened near Pomona Road at approximately 8:00 PM.
Police officers responded to the scene and found a male in his 50s down in the roadway. The victim was pushing a shopping cart eastbound on Roger Road when a vehicle hit him from behind. The vehicle left the scene after the incident.
Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead on the scene. They did not release the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
An initial police report described the suspect vehicle as a possible 2008 Dodge Nitro in gray or silver. However, officials are asking anyone with information about this incident to call 88-CRIME.
