Man Dead in Solo-Car Accident in El Cajon on Chase Avenue and Wilson Avenue
EL CAJON, CA (June 8, 2020) — A driver crashed a vehicle into a pole on Chase Avenue and Wilson Avenue Sunday and caused fatal injuries to his male passenger.
According to the El Cajon Police Department, the unidentified male passenger died at the scene.
Moments before the impact, the driver reportedly sped westbound on Chase Avenue before the car struck a pole near Wilson Avenue.
Around 6:45 a.m., police and firefighters arrived and tended to the crash victims. Firefighters extricated the driver from the vehicle and transported him to Sharp Memorial Hospital; however, his condition is unknown.
