Eric Beverly Dies in Motorcycle Collision on 880 Freeway Near Marina Boulevard
SAN LEANDRO, CA (June 1, 2020) — A motorcyclist died Thursday night following an accident on the 880 Freeway near Marina Boulevard.
The coroner’s office identified the fatal victim as 48-year-old Eric Beverly.
According to investigations, the crash took place around 8:13 p.m. on the eastbound Marina Boulevard off-ramp from the 880 North Freeway. CHP said Beverly was wearing a helmet when he reportedly lost control and struck a guardrail that ejected him onto the pavement.
Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
At this time, the cause of the crash remains unknown and anyone with information should call the Hayward CHP office at 510-489-1500.
