Peter Vajtai Killed in Motorcycle Collision at Roy Horn Way [Las Vegas, NV]
Peter Vajtai Dies in Las Vegas Motorcycle Accident
LAS VEGAS, NV (May 28, 2020) — A man died following a Memorial Day motorcycle accident at Roy Horn Way and South Durango Drive.
Southern Hills Hospital has confirmed that one of its doctors died in the Memorial Day accident.
Peter George Vajtai from Henderson has been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as the victim who perished in the 8:45 a.m. crash near the 215 Beltway off-ramp.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, Vajtai, operating a Trike Can-Am motorcycle, reportedly ran a red light at the intersection of Roy Horn Way and South Durango Drive. As the trike entered the intersection, it collided with a southbound Kia Sorento.
Upon impact, Vajtai was ejected off his motorcycle—which subsequently ruptured into flames—and died shortly after. The Kia driver sustained no injuries, according to reports, and showed no signs of intoxication during the investigation.
However, although DUI has been ruled out, the crash remains under investigation. If anyone has more information, please call the local police department.
With deepest sympathies, our firm would like to send it thoughts of courage, strength and hope to the family and friends of Peter George Vajtai.
