Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 99 [Fresno, CA]
Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver near Fresno Street in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (January 11, 2021) – A woman died following Saturday’s hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Highway 99 near Fresno Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Fresno officers first responded to a call around 1:30 a.m. Upon arriving to the scene, officers found a woman lying on Highway 99 North. Shortly after, paramedics pronounced her dead on scene.
According to investigations, detectives say that a driver struck her near the Fresno Street off-ramp and failed to render any type of aid.
During this time, information about the vehicle and suspect remains unclear. However, anyone apprised of either whereabouts should call the CHP at 559-705-2200.
