Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Big Rig in Pomona

POMONA, CA (January 7, 2021) – Early Monday morning, a man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on East Mission Boulevard.

The crash happened around 6:15 a.m., near South Reservoir Street. Pomona Police then found a male pedestrian with severe injuries upon arriving.

The man was later pronounced dead due to the extent of his condition. At this time, his name is currently being withheld pending notification of his family.

According to investigators, a white three-axle semi-truck struck the pedestrian and fled the scene. A surveillance video also shows the semi-truck pulling a flatbed trailer.
