Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on East Wardlow Road [Long Beach, CA]
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on East Wardlow Road in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, CA (December 23, 2020) – Police confirmed that a woman died in a pedestrian accident in the 300 block of East Wardlow Road on Wednesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 10:30 PM.
Based on a report, the woman was not walking in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck her.
As a result, the victim suffered severe injuries in the incident. The Long Beach Police Department said emergency crews transported her to a hospital, where she died. Officials did not release the victim’s name pending kin notification.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Officials did not make any arrests. However, they continue to investigate the case.
