Deadly Head-On Crash on Mariposa Road Near Sycamore Street [Hesperia, CA]

1 Dead, 1 Injured Following Hesperia Two-Car Collision

 
HESPERIA, CA (January 5, 2021)—One person died Monday following a head-on collision on Mariposa Road near Sycamore Street.
 
According to reports, the fatal incident took place around 10:39 a.m. in the 11600 block of Mariposa Road. Upon responding, San Bernardino County firefighters found two vehicles and a driver trapped inside a silver Toyota pickup.
 
Shortly after, firefighters performed extrication procedures to free the victim. However, crews located a second victim inside a gray four-door sedan, later confirming a fatality.
 
Officials requested a helicopter to land at Desert Valley Hospital to transport the pickup driver to a trauma center, as investigators closed the area to determine the ultimate cause that drove these vehicles to collide.
