Ashton Wilfong Arrested in Fatal DUI Rollover Accident on Road 206 Near Highway 145
FRIANT, CA (January 4, 2021)—A 41-year-old died during Friday’s DUI rollover crash on Road 206 near Highway 145.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly incident occurred around 12:50 a.m. Upon reporting to the scene, CHP officers learned that a Dodge Ram truck had flipped over onto its roof.
Further investigations showed that the 28-year-old driver, Ashton Wilfong of Friant, reportedly made an unsafe movement, which caused the Dodge to roll over and kill a 41-year-old female who had been partially ejected.
In addition to those harmed, a 17-year-old sustained a major injury, and two others dodged injury, albeit unrestrained in the car with the other occupants.
During the investigation, detectives saw that Wilfong exhibited signs of impairment and arrested her on gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI.
