Driver Strikes, Kills At Least 1 Pedestrian in Oakland
OAKLAND, CA (December 14, 2020)—Authorities confirmed at least one death in Thursday night’s pedestrian accident on Grand Avenue near Wildwood Avenue.
According to reports, police responded to the 3300 block of Grand Avenue near Wildwood Avenue. Around 6:15 p.m., officers found at least one pedestrian not moving near a grocery store.
Paramedics responded shortly after to assist police in providing aid and life support to the victims; however, at least one of the victims died in the accident, according to reports.
Information surrounding whether any vehicles stopped at the scene have not been confirmed, but an investigation into that, as well as the factors that led to the crash, remains in place.
