Injuries Reported in DUI Car Accident in Escondido
ESCONDIDO, CA (December 18, 2020)—A DUI driver caused a multi-car accident Wednesday evening at Bear Valley Parkway and Mary Lane.
According to Escondido police, the crash happened around 7:35 p.m. when witnesses noticed a 1994 Honda Accord swerving on the northbound 15 Freeway.
The driver subsequently exited the highway at Via Rancho Parkway before swerving into oncoming traffic and crashing head-on into a car.
A third vehicle somehow became involved in the multi-car crash at the intersection of Bear Valley Parkway and Mary Lane.
As a result, a Nissan Sentra driver and a Hyundai Santa Fe driver sustained minor injuries. In addition, the DUI driver suffered internal injuries and was brought to Palomar Medical Center for treatment.
