Lorena Ponce Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Roscoe Boulevard Near Irondale Avenue
CANOGA PARK, CA (December 18, 2020)—A mother-of-four died during Wednesday’s hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Roscoe Boulevard near Irondale Avenue.
According to authorities, officers found a woman’s body lying on the street on the north curb of Roscoe Boulevard. Upon examining her, police said her injuries appeared to have been congruent with that of being hit by a car.
Although authorities have not officially identified her, her fiancé has identified her as Lorena Ponce.
The details of the accident remain unclear, but authorities believe that a tan or silver, older model Chevy Tahoe might have been involved.
A reward of up to $50,000 will be given to anyone who can help authorities identify the suspect and apprehend that person.
