COACHELLA, CA (December 9, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person suffered injuries in a DUI crash on 51st Avenue on early Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Cesar Chavez Street.
 
Based on a report, two vehicles crashed in the lanes. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said
one sedan sustained major front-end damage and another sedan ended up jumping the curb with major damage on the passenger side. However, the details that led to the accident were not immediately available.
 
As a result, one driver was hurt in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victim to the hospital in stable condition.
 
Later on, officials arrested the other driver on suspicion of driving under the influence. At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
