CHULA VISTA, CA (November 30, 2020) – A man suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian crash on Main Street on Monday night.
According to Chula Vista Police, the collision happened near Oleander Avenue around 8:35 PM.
Based on a report, officers responded to the scene and found the 35-year-old male victim on the ground. An unidentified vehicle struck him at the intersection. However, the details that led to the accident were not immediately available.
As a result, the man suffered major trauma to his head and body. Emergency crews transported the victim to Scripps Mercy Trauma Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The driver who struck the pedestrian remained at the scene. Initially, police said intoxication was not a factor in the crash, Rodrigues said. However, they continue to investigate the case.
