Wrong-Way Driving Leads to Fatal Crash on Highway 167 at South 180th Street in Renton

 
RENTON, WA (December 10, 2020) – Police identified Justin Reichel and Aaron Cook as the victims who died in a crash on Highway 167 on late Tuesday evening, December 1.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident happened at Ellington Road around 11:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, a pickup truck was heading south in the northbound lanes of the highway prior to the crash. Subsequently, it collided with a motorcycle before it struck a double dump truck. In addition, a video from nearby traffic cameras showed flames shooting out of the vehicles in the aftermath.
 
As a result, Justin Reichel, 37, and Aaron Cook, 49, died in the accident. Fortunately, the driver of the dump truck escaped without injury.
 
This time, an investigation into the collision is still ongoing. However, troopers ask people with information pertinent to the investigation to contact them.
