One Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 25th Street [San Diego, CA]

Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 25th Street and Imperial Avenue in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 23, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on 25th Street on Monday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Imperial Avenue around 8:50 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was walking westbound in the left-turn lane of Imperial prior to the incident. At the same time, a vehicle was heading eastbound on Imperial. Due to unknown reasons, it struck the victim. Subsequently, it fled the scene without stopping to render aid to the victim.
 
Medics transported the victim to a hospital, where he died of his injuries. Officials withheld the man’s name pending family notification.
 
No description of the driver was immediately available. However, police are now searching for the suspect.
