One Killed in Bicycle Accident on Bastanchury Road [Fullerton, CA]
Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Bastanchury Road near Lancer Way in Fullerton
FULLERTON, CA (November 23, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a bicycle accident on Bastanchury Road on Monday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Lancer Way around 5:45 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was riding a bicycle at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a Mercedes-Benz came and struck him.
As a result, the bicyclist suffered fatal injuries in the incident. Medics transported him to the hospital, where he later died. Officials only identified him as a 33-year-old man.
The driver of the vehicle cooperated with investigators. At this point, officers do not believe drugs or alcohol was a factor in the collision. However, the Fullerton Police Department continues to investigate the case.
