Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Pedestrian Accident on Miramar Street near Union Avenue in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 23, 2020) – Police identified Kuen Ham as the victim who suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on Miramar Street on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Union Avenue around 6:00 AM.
Based on a report, Kuen Ham was crossing the street at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a Toyota Corolla that was turning left onto Miramar struck her. Subsequently, the vehicle dragged her about 15 feet away from the scene. The driver fled the scene without rendering aid to Ham.
As a result, the Los Angeles Police Department reported that 76-year-old Ham sustained life-threatening injuries. She is currently in the intensive care unit of a hospital.
Police said a reward of up to $25,000 is available for anyone who can provide information about the hit-and-run suspect. In addition, they ask anyone with information to call Detective Juan Campos at 213-833-3713 or the Central Traffic Division watch commander at 213-833-3746.
