Jeremy Johnson Arrested after Fatal Red-Light Crash on Charleston Boulevard [Las Vegas, NV]
One Killed in Red-Light Crash Involving DUI Driver on Charleston Boulevard near Rampart Boulevard in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 23, 2020) – Police arrested Jeremy Johnson after a fatal red-light crash on Charleston Boulevard on Monday evening.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Rampart Boulevard around 11:00 PM.
Based on a report, a white Honda Accord was driving west on Charleston at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it entered the Rampart intersection against a red light. At the same time, a 2007 Toyota Tacoma made a left turn from eastbound Charleston to northbound Rampart on a green light. Subsequently, the Honda hit the right front of the Toyota.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said that the 50-year-old driver of the Toyota died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available. In addition, medics transported 36-year-old Johnson, the driver of the Honda, to UMC with moderate injuries. Police later arrested him for impairment.
