Brandon Jaquez-Perez Arrested for DUI after Fatal Crash on Kendall Drive [San Bernardino, CA]
Man Killed, Two Children Seriously Injured in DUI Crash on Kendall Drive near University Parkway in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (December 3, 2020) – Authorities arrested Brandon Jaquez-Perez for DUI after a fiery crash on Kendall Drive on Friday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near University Parkway at approximately 11:50 PM.
Based on a report, 23-year-old Jaquez-Perez was driving a Ford Mustang at a high speed on Kendall when he blew through a red signal at the intersection of University Parkway. Subsequently, the Mustang slammed into a Toyota Camry, causing the vehicle to go up in flames.
As a result, the San Bernardino Police Department said a Bakersfield man who was driving the Camry died in the incident. In addition, two children had life-threatening injuries, one sustained a severe injury, and another sustained moderate injuries.
Police later arrested Jaquez-Perez on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. At this time, the collision remains under investigation and no further details are available.
