Man in Wheel Chair Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident on Abels Lane [Las Vegas, NV]
Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Accident on Abels Lane near East Lake Mead Boulevard in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 11, 2020) – A man in a motorized wheelchair died in a hit-and-run accident on Abels Lane on Wednesday evening.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision occurred near East Lake Mead Boulevard around 5:25 PM.
Based on a report, the man was on the road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, an unknown automobile on the same route struck him. Subsequently, the driver of the vehicle left the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
As a result, emergency crews transported the victim to University Medical Center, where he died due to severe injuries. Police only identified him as a 61-year-old Las Vegas resident.
Las Vegas Police is still investigating the case. They ask anyone with information to call 702-828-3595.
