Hit-and-Run Suspect Critical after Pedestrian Crash on Desert Inn Road [Las Vegas, NV]
Hit-and-Run Suspect Struck and Injured by Vehicle on Desert Inn Road near Paradise Road in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 16, 2020) – A hit-and-run suspect is now in critical condition after a pedestrian crash on Desert Inn Road on Monday morning.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Paradise Road after 8:45 PM.
Based on a report, the suspect tried to run away following a crash at Valley View Boulevard. Officers got the vehicle description and spotted the car heading east on Desert Inn. They stopped the car and handcuffed the driver, taking him into custody. However, the suspect was able to slip his handcuffs and ran into traffic, where a car heading west struck him.
As a result, he suffered critical injuries. Emergency crews transported him to Sunrise Hospital for treatment.
Other details are not immediately available. At this point, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police is still investigating the case.
