Head-On Crash on Los Osos Valley Road in San Luis Obispo
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (November 8, 2020) – At least three people suffered injuries in a head-on crash on Los Osos Valley Road on Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred near Painted Canyon Road at approximately 5:10 PM.
Based on a report, responding officers determined that a black Jeep and silver sedan collided in the lanes head-on. However, they did not yet release the circumstances that led to the accident.
As a result, the crash trapped two people inside one of the vehicles. CAL FIRE responded to the scene and performed extrication. The three victims had injuries varying from minor to moderate.
Officials temporarily closed two lanes of Los Osos Valley while rescue and clearing operations took place in the area.
At this point, the CHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. However, they do not have additional information to share.
