Antonio Rivera Recognized for Saving Woman in Accident on East River Road [Tucson, AZ]
Woman Having Seizures Rescued in Accident on East River Road near Craycroft Road in Tucson
TUCSON, AZ (November 6, 2020) – Tucson Police announced a ceremony at their station to recognize Antonio Rivera after he saved a woman in an accident on East River Road.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened on August 12 near Craycroft Road.
Based on a report, Rivera was on his way to meet a work client when he saw a Toyota Prius sped up and hit the car in front of him. Subsequently, the Prius continued moving forward and he saw the lady driving unconscious with foam coming out of her mouth.
The woman was said to be having a seizure. Rivera quickly drove in front of the car, hit it, and pushed it out of the way of the oncoming traffic.
Paramedics and law enforcement arrived shortly after.
The Tucson Police Department is recognizing Rivera’s bravery with a ceremony at the station in honor of him on November 13 at 10:00 AM.
