61-Year-Old Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on San Ysidro Boulevard [San Diego, CA]
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Cadillac on East San Ysidro Boulevard in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 31, 2020) – Police confirmed that a 61-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on San Ysidro Boulevard on Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 2:05 PM.
Based on a report, the man exited a business and ran into a street prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, he tripped as he reached the asphalt of the street and fell down the road face first. Subsequently, a Cadillac Escalade pulled out of an adjacent parking lot and ran him over.
As a result, the pedestrian died at the scene. The San Diego Police Department did not yet release the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
The police are still investigating the case. However, they don’t have additional information to share.
