Hector Soto Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Beach Boulevard [Anaheim, CA]
Hector Soto Struck, Killed by Car on Beach Boulevard Near West Stonybrook Drive
ANAHEIM, CA (October 19, 2020) — A young pedestrian died early Saturday following a pedestrian accident on Beach Boulevard near West Stonybrook Drive.
According to officials, police responded to the 2:00 a.m. accident, which they initially thought involved a two-vehicle crash.
Upon arriving at the scene, they learned that a young man tried crossing the road, outside of a marked crosswalk and against a red crossing light, before being struck by a vehicle.
Reports say the driver had initially driven a short distance away before returning to come and help the victim.
Another driver, uninvolved in the incident, stopped to help, according to police.
Following the investigation, officers ruled out drugs and alcohol as possible factors in the accident, which claimed 21-year-old Hector Chong Soto‘s life.
More information on this case will be released once authorities determine the ultimate cause, precise circumstances and liabilities.
