Nicholas Sajovic Detained in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway Loop 101 Near East Indian School Road
PHOENIX, AZ (October 23, 2020) — A motorcyclist died early Thursday after crashing into a DUI wrong-way driver on Highway Loop 101 near East Indian School Road.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 3:00 a.m. on the northbound side of the Pima Freeway.
Reports say that 25-year-old Nicholas Sajovic was operating a car in the wrong direction before colliding with the motorcyclist. Unfortunately, the rider died in the crash.
Shortly after the accident, officers arrested Sajovic on charges of second-degree murder. Additionally, they learned that impairment had played a role in Sajovic’s part.
