Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run Crash on Veterans Parkway [Reno, NV]
Reno Motorcycle Crash on Veterans Parkway near Pembroke Drive
RENO, NV (October 19, 2020) – Emergency crews transported a motorcyclist to the hospital after a hit-and-run crash on Veterans Parkway on Monday evening.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Pembroke Drive just after 6:30 PM.
Based on a report, a vehicle was attempting to turn onto Veterans Parkway from Pembroke. Due to an unknown reason, it struck the victim’s motorcycle. Subsequently, the vehicle continued driving and left the scene of the crash.
Crews sent the motorcyclist to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said a witness followed the suspect vehicle and officers were able to catch up to the driver near the Grand Sierra Resort.
At this point, the investigation is ongoing. However, they don’t have additional information.
Give way to small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles to avoid a crash. In addition, do not leave the scene after colliding with another vehicle. Always stay sober, manage your speed, and avoid reckless driving to avoid getting into an accident.
