Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Tempe
TEMPE, AZ (October 23, 2020)—A pedestrian accident turned fatal on Highway 60 near South Priest Drive Wednesday night.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the pedestrian accident stemmed from a single-vehicle accident just minutes prior.
Around 11:40 p.m., a vehicle crashed under unclear circumstances and its driver exited the car and began running across the eastbound lanes. There, an oncoming driver struck and killed the man.
Following the accident, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigations. However, the crash requires further examination and anyone with information should contact the authorities.
