CAZADERO, CA (October 18, 2020) – Police arrested Mariana Salazar after a DUI accident on Timber Cove Road on late Sunday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just south of Seaview Road around 11:30 PM.
Based on a report, the 29-year-old Timber Cove woman was driving a Nissan Sentra when she lost control of the car. Subsequently, it veered off the road, struck multiple trees, and ended up down an embankment. She then left the scene and walked home, leaving her passengers in the car.
As a result, paramedics airlifted passengers Valentina Felix, 38, and Alicia Felix, 35, of Cazadero to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The three women are coworkers at an area hotel and were driving home from work when the crash occurred.
Authorities later arrested Salazar on two felony DUI charges and driving her Nissan Sentra without a license. They checked her at Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital, before booking her into Sonoma County Jail Monday morning.
