Four Pedestrians Hospitalized after Accident on Northwest Grand Avenue [Glendale, AZ]
Pedestrians Struck by Motorcycle on Northwest Grand Avenue near 51st Avenue in Glendale
GLENDALE, AZ (October 19, 2020) – Emergency crews transported four pedestrians to the hospital after an accident in the 5000 block of Northwest Grand Avenue on Monday night.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near 51st Avenue.
Based on a report, the pedestrians were pushing a disabled vehicle into the roadway at the time of the crash. Due to an unknown reason, a motorcycle struck them.
As a result, the victims sustained injuries. Crews sent three men to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. In addition, they also transported the last victim to the hospital with serious injuries.
Officers closed Grand Avenue in both directions to give way to rescue and clearing operations. The investigation is ongoing.
