3 Teens Hospitalized Following Single-Car Crash in Maple Valley
MAPLE VALLEY, WA (October 15, 2020) — Three teenagers suffered minor to major injuries following Tuesday’s single-car crash on Kent Kangley Road near 232nd Avenue Southeast.
According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened just before noon in the 22000 block of Southeast Kent Kangley Road.
For reasons that demand further investigation, a Toyota Tacoma carrying the three teenagers crashed.
Shortly after, paramedics transported a 16-year-old Maple Valley girl, who sustained a broken leg after having been ejected from the vehicle, to a nearby hospital.
Another teen, described as a 16-year-old Newcastle female, had to be airlifted to Harborview Medical Center while the 15-year old driver from Issaquah sustained a minor injury.
According to the investigation, the 15-year-old operating the westbound Toyota Tacoma veered off the north shoulder for unclear reasons. Subsequently, the Toyota plowed into a utility pole.
