EL CAJON, CA (October 19, 2020) — One person perished early Sunday following a two-car accident on Highway 125 at the 8 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 12:40 a.m. accident left one person dead after a tow truck and another vehicle collided under unclear circumstances.
 
Due to the aftermath of the crash, authorities had to close the area to investigate and clear the scene. By 3:40 a.m., commuters were able to access the highway lanes.
