Heidi Huff Killed in Head-On Crash on North 43rd Avenue Near West Cactus Road
PHOENIX, AZ (October 16, 2020) — A head-on collision Thursday morning on North 43rd Avenue near West Cactus Road killed a 48-year-old woman.
According to Phoenix Police, a silver Ford Focus heading northbound on North 43rd Avenue around 12:30 a.m. crossed over the center line.
The reason the Ford driver veered into opposite traffic remains unclear, but the Ford ended up striking another car head-on.
Heidi Huff, the driver of the Ford, died at a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old driver of the other car sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, investigators are exploring if impairment or speed played a role in the accident. Although, anyone willing to help authorities piece together this crash should contact the police department.
