Jordan Del Carmen Killed, Clayton Chiapuzio Injured in Wrong-Way Accident on Highway 101 [Los Angeles, CA]
Jordan Del Carmen Dies, Clayton Chiapuzio Hurt in Los Angeles Wrong-Way Crash
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 12, 2020) — The man who died during last Thursday’s wrong-way crash on Highway 101 near Hollywood Boulevard has been identified.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 24-year old victim has been identified as Jordan Del Carmen.
CHP reported that around 1:00 a.m. last Thursday, Del Carmen was driving his 2008 BMW southbound on the northbound side when his car struck a 2014 Subaru head-on.
At some point, two other vehicles became involved in the chain-reaction crash.
In its devastating wake, the incident left the wrong-way driver, from Paramount, trapped in his vehicle and with fatal injuries.
Per reports, the Subaru’s driver—33-year-old Clayton Chiapuzio—suffered major injuries and was taken to a hospital for further treatment.
Still, the details do not add up and whether impairment played a role requires more examination. If anyone has information, please contact the CHP Central Los Angeles area office at 213-744-2331.
Our lawyers would like to send their sympathies to the friends and family of Jordan Del Carmen.
