Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run on Wilton Place [Los Angeles, CA]
Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Fatal Hit-and-Run on Wilton Place near Fifth Street in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 3, 2020) – Police confirmed that a woman got killed in a hit-and-run on Wilton Place on Saturday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Fifth Street at approximately 1:20 AM.
Based on a report, the victim parked her vehicle, got out of it, and lie down on the street prior to the crash. Subsequently, a vehicle struck her and left the scene afterward.
As a result, the Los Angeles Police Department said the 33-year-old L.A. woman died at the scene. They did not release her name, pending family notification.
Authorities described the suspect vehicle as a later model dark SUV. It stopped momentarily before fleeing the scene. The LAPD is still investigating the case.
