Person Killed in Modesto Pedestrian Accident at Yosemite Boulevard and Ruffino Avenue
MIODESTO, CA (October 5, 2020) — A pedestrian died following Wednesday’s pedestrian accident at Yosemite Boulevard and Ruffino Avenue.
According to reports, the incident unfolded around 6:30 a.m. Previous reports indicated that a man in a mobility chair tried crossing Yosemite Boulevard in a marked crosswalk when a westbound commercial vehicle struck him.
Shortly after, paramedics transported the man to a nearby hospital for treatment.
However, around 3:30 p.m., crash investigators were notified that the pedestrian died at a hospital.
Since circumstances had appeared ambiguous, officers closed the area near North Santa Cruz and La Loma Avenue to investigate the incident more closely.
