Man Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident at 4th Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 2, 2020) — A pedestrian lost his life days after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle at East 4th Street and South Central Avenue.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened around 7:45 p.m. last Sunday.
The unidentified pedestrian was crossing East 4th Street when a dark-colored SUV struck him while heading southbound on South Central Avenue.
According to witnesses, the driver, described as a male, did not stop to render aid and, instead, fled the scene.
Shortly thereafter, paramedics shuttled the victim to a nearby hospital where he died four days later.
At this time, authorities are urging the public to come forward with information and to contact Detective DeHesa at 213-833-3713 if they have news to share. In addition, a $50,000 reward is available for anyone providing knowledge leading to the suspect’s identification and conviction.
