One Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Rainbow Boulevard [Las Vegas, NV]
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Rainbow Boulevard near Rancho Drive in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 30, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian crash on Rainbow Boulevard on early Wednesday morning.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Rancho Drive shortly after 4:00 AM.
Based on a report, the pedestrian walked into the travel lanes prior to the crash. Subsequently, a vehicle came and struck the victim.
Emergency crews transported the person to the hospital. As a result, the victim later died due to severe injuries.
Police had blocked off all northbound lanes of Rancho Drive for a clearing operation.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene and cooperated with Las Vegas police and the Nevada Highway Patrol officers. As of today, an investigation is still on-going.
