Man Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Wallace Street [San Diego, CA]
Homicide Investigation Ongoing after Pedestrian Accident on Wallace Street in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 27, 2020) – Police responded to a report about a vehicle that struck and killed a man in the 4100 block of Wallace Street on early Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 3:30 AM.
Based on a report, a van hit the 48-year-old man in the roadway. Prior to the crash, investigators learned the victim and driver of the van had an argument. Upon investigation, authorities said the crash seemed to be more like an intentional act to kill the victim.
As a result, the victim died at the scene. Authorities did not yet release the man’s identity.
After an initial assessment, police called homicide detectives to take over. However, they asked anyone with information on the crash to contact the San Diego Police Department’s Western Division at (619) 692-4800. Anonymous tips can be made by contacting Crime Stoppers at (619) 235-8477.
