Jonathan Martinez Dies After Crashing Motorcycle Into Car at North Flowing Wells and West Wetmore Roads
TUCSON, AZ (September 29, 2020) — A 23-year-old man died during Saturday’s motorcycle accident at North Flowing Wells and West Wetmore roads.
According to Pima County Sheriff’s Deputies, the crash ensued around 9:45 p.m.
Investigators determined that 23-year-old Jonathan Martinez was traveling eastbound on Wetmore Road when his bike collided with an SUV, whose driver tried making a left turn at the intersection.
As a result of the accident, a 19-year-old SUV passenger suffered serious injuries and the driver, an 18-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries.
Tragically, Martinez perished at the scene of the accident.
As far as charges and citations go, police have not yet charged anyone in this incident but will be investigating this fatal case more closely.
