Man Dies in Fresno Pedestrian Accident at Kings Canyon Road Near Winery Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (September 28, 2020) — Tragedy unfolded as a driver struck and killed a pedestrian Friday morning on East Kings Canyon Road near South Winery Avenue.
 
According to news reports, the fatal incident ensued around 5:30 a.m.
 
Per officers, the truck, heading eastbound on East Kings Canyon Road, struck the pedestrian when the man stepped onto the road.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died at a local hospital after having sustained severe injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators, who say the driver was not able to stop in time prior to the impact.
